As recommended by @SolarPhasing, I've put a few tracks on for the enjoyment of all. :)

@reto

Hello Reto,
Nice exposure, nice number plays, interesting features, and collabs oriented too, people discussing here and there on the platform.

Ask @flavigula an invite link :0) @flavigula

@flavigula yeah well, FB sign up, meh. extensive "privacy policy", meh. have to provide both "First name" *and* "Last name", meh (ever heard of pen names, handles and such?). @SolarPhasing

@reto

Well..
/me
First name: Solar
Last name: Phasing

You are free to put your artist name you know.

@flavigula

@SolarPhasing yeah, and that's just Reto, see the problem? 😜 @flavigula

@reto

Reto, All places you will put your email address, you will be"identified" with first and last name or not.
Exception ?!, encrypted based email, ex: proton.

You ISP provider give you an identified IP adress (exception VPN + browser well parameted, and be carefull with the OS used)

Anonymous?
Anonymity and musician? :0))

Don't get me wrong: I care about privacy :0)

@flavigula

@SolarPhasing It's about freedom, not anonymity. I should be able to use any name I want. I really don't like these (social!) sites that force you to use the full name. What would say?
When I appear as a my artist name is supposed to be "Reto", that's all...
When I want to be anonymous like you mean I use the ... 😄
Btw, are you affiliated with ?
@flavigula

@reto

Hey there,
No affiliation with anyone. haha.
I just try to help people to have more exposure for their art, mainly their music. Sharing new things, good opportunities, etc. Nothing more. :0)

@flavigula

@reto @flavigula @SolarPhasing
I'm wary.

What's their profit model? how do they pay for all this hosting? or are they looking to build a community and then sell the company?

@reto @flavigula @SolarPhasing

More pertinent to my own situation:
They say

"everyone on drooble listens to online radio"

-- I mostly don't? And much of my target audience also doesn't. I'm not sure that this network would be very useful for me, personally, in the niche in which I work.

Not trying to harsh on anyone's vibe, it does look interesting. But I have a pretty high bar to "useful" and a relatively unusual niche.

@reto @flavigula @SolarPhasing

And how does their "Karma" system work if you don't find others of your niche there? I can answer some questions about sacred choral music, but guitar amps are beyond me. So already I would be less popular there just by chance. Their "get rewards for participating" system seems to replicate structures elsewhere, rather than foster true diversity.

@reto @flavigula @SolarPhasing

I think this or something like it might still be useful to me, due to network effects, if I explore the slightly-folk route I've been thinking about.

But that's for after the PhD and I do not have the spare brain cycles to put into it now.

Also I think network effects are greatest when you join a community while it is smol and then let people find you as it grows.

@artsyhonker

Don't get me wrong:
I'm not here to preach anything, everyone is free. I sometimes share opportunities, to take or not. Everyone has its own goals. Sometimes, not the same.

@reto @flavigula

@artsyhonker

Quickly about Karma.
You need to invite just one person to unlock the Karma thing.
You are not obligate to listen the "Radio".

For exemple, in your case, you will earn Karma when your music is played, liked, commented, by users/fans.

@reto @flavigula

@artsyhonker

You know I often say, the music I do with Solar Phasing does not interest anyone or not a lot of people. Well, it's a mistake, I'm surprised every day about it. It's music, let it touch freely all the people who will love it.

@reto @flavigula

@reto

If you monetize your music one day (or still doing it), you need to give your name, postal address, and more. :0)
They don't pay anonymous, I guess ;0)) Exception: some #Blokchain one's. Comparatively to Spotify, I now have nice royalties from Musicoin.

@flavigula

@SolarPhasing I have no issue with that, but what I was talking about is that as artist you want to appear with your artist name. Or do you know Robert Zimmerman? @flavigula

@reto

His profile is:
First name: Tambourin
Last name: Man.
haha ,0))

Yep, get it, man.
I see profile with only one word, supposing we caan a leave a field blank; Exemple
drooble.com/uzbazur

@flavigula

@SolarPhasing you can't, it's just the profile url you can change to whatever you like (if it's not taken)

@SolarPhasing It's alright I guess. I was digging a bit further and I must say that I don't like the platform anyway. It goes against so many of my values. @flavigula

@SolarPhasing @reto @flavigula Hmm. No slot in the "I am..." box for "composer" or "conductor" or "educator".

@artsyhonker

Hi girl,
Composer, Conductor exists in I'm.
Educador too. with "d"

You can write your own, note.

@reto @flavigula

@flavigula

The main thing I like plugging in a new platform is discovering new music. Always people you haven't seen in previous other places. :0)
