Yesterday we had an awesome gathering at the train station #piano in #Bern. It's so beautiful if random people #sing #songs together. Then you start to dream about how society could be if we wouldn't have all these inhibitions:
"Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one"
John & Yoko
What I don't quite understand is that there were like 15 new #Smusi users in the last two days, but only one of them posted anything... and as far as I can tell, these aren't spam accounts or bots. 🤷♂️ 🙃
Every bittersweet melody
of broken shadows
reminds me of a light
cast from the other room,
the way harmony contrasts
with the slow dance
atop the song itself,
an unsung cantata in a key
of minor moods, made
visible now by a small glimpse
into the possible
#smallpoems response, with stolen words from your poem
Thinking about doing another round of the #MusicCollab in the new year... and I hope people would still be interested! But for now, I hope you all had some nice days to conclude this year! 🎉🎉🐳
Wrote a few words concerning some of the ideas about #Smusi in a new post "The need for change" on #Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/posts/need-for-change-23574576
Feel free to support our cause 😄
bad experiences like that make us harden ourselves. but in the end this behavior is doing a lot of damage to ourselves. you just can't be loving people without making some sacrifices. the people that want to have everything well guarded, protected and secure can't be loving "their neighbor". if you have nothing you have nothing to lose so to say. for the rich man it's very hard not to get hardened.
on a side note, this night a guy robbed my wallet... he asked for a smoke and said something about like he wants to play football and showed me some move holding me. I got suspicious, checked for my wallet and it was gone. but I wasn't sure if I had probably forgotten it at home. I asked him if I could check him and I did but couldn't find it. he must have hidden it well. phoning my bank I discovered he had already used the bank card. haha. poor guy. what a miserable life...
I sit here in my room
thick and heavy in this gloom
I'm going to burst - pretty soon
going all the way
what are my friends gonna say?
but this is not a matter of tact
it's just a hard damn fact
that the source of life
is not a victory march
it's full of pain and trouble
bittersweet a melody
of broken shadows
loved ones with hanging heads
clothed in rags
born in sheds
what seperates us is mutual distrust. this is why we don't "love our neighbor as ourselves". trust requires courage because we have to open ourselves up and then we get vulnerable. people don't want to get hurt. that's why they create these barriers. to love is to continue to trust despite all the disappointments.
Here's another track from our Chateau album, A Little Longer:
with art by with art by Joséphine Herbelin.
Chateau is Alejandra "Chabi" Iñiguez and I.
We dedicate this album to those in long-distance relationships, or just far away from the ones they love.
May each day bring you a little closer. <3

I am an amateur guitarist and pianist, and I rarely get around to recording most of my work. If I had social media presence I would post links but... ya know.
I wanted to write a #Patreon update for #Smusi but I'm unable to login because I just can't get past the #Google #Captcha. Are they crazy to demand a captcha on login or what? So when I finally succeed in clicking through these awful pictures and it looks like everything is alright, the site tells me:
"Bad captcha response"
Haha, ah man, why do we have to rely on such shitty websites?
Hello Mastodon! It has always been so exciting to discover a new social platform. It's as if I'm at the beginning of a new revolution in communication. Anyway, here's some of my music! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGUDEetlF_g&list=PLIjfTvAy2x0Jzd5FyBlFvz8C7VMwym9Op
